  • Developed fire engineered solutions which did not require secondary structural steel members to be fire rated.
  • The fire safety strategy assessed the reliability of the sprinkler system and determined that the previous recommendation of a separate ceiling void sprinkler system on a separate feed was not necessary, allowing the Contractor to save approximately $1 million.

  • Application of NFPA standards and fire CFD modelling for the atrium space.

  • Carried out site inspection and developed fire hazard identification and risk management procedures to minimise the likelihood of fire during construction.
  • Provided recommendations for appropriate hot work procedures and LPG storage requirements.

Gateway Towers, Dubai, UAE: 3 x 45 storey high rise plus 13 storey podium project. Project Value $1 Billion.

  • Peer review and design assistance for fire safety design.
  • CFD review of carbon monoxide ventilation solutions for the car park.
  • CFD review of atrium smoke control solutions.

Dubai Promenade, Dubai, UAE: 3 x 45 storey residential high rise and 2 x 40 storey office buildings. Project Value $4 Billion.

The Dubai Promenade development consisted of an ‘Icon Hotel and Wings’ buildings, three 45 storey residential high rises, and two 40 storey office buildings.

Anara Tower, Dubai, UAE: Proposed 135 storey multi-purpose super high rise. Project value $3 Billion.

  • Responsible for project managing the fire engineering deliverables and technical solutions.
  • Oversaw the development of the elevator evacuation strategy, fire brigade intervention strategy, fire systems reliability analysis and enhancement strategies.
  • Eliminated the necessity for refuge floors, allowing considerable increases in building efficiency.
